Sustainability & Packaging
The bar packaging as well as all materials used for shipping are completely plastic-free. The packaging consists of recyclable, FSC-certified cardboard and 100% recyclable & biodegradable glassine paper. The film can be buried in the ground where it naturally decomposes.
Moonchy partners with CleanHub to reduce plastic waste in the oceans. The goal is to prevent 500 kg of non-recyclable plastic from entering the oceans annually. The entire process is certified via track-and-trace technology.
Storage
The white coating on a bar is a natural fat bloom effect and does not affect quality.
Ideal temperature: Store consistently between 15°C and 20°C.
Avoid refrigeration: Only refrigerate if necessary, as condensation can cause sugar bloom (white streaks or spots).
Humidity control: Keep relative humidity below 50% to protect texture and flavor.
Light protection: Store chocolate in a cool, dark place, away from sunlight and artificial light, to prevent quality degradation.
